Abstract

I will refer to general questions about judicial ethics, the
suitability of judges and ethical principles. I will also refer to the codes of ethics that outline the excellent or ideal judge. Second, I will subsume the above premises to a particular field, which is how a
judge should conduct himself or herself in the realm of social networks. I will outline what activities are ethically questionable on the Internet, whether there is freedom –or not– to access them, how it relates to the rights of privacy and freedom of expression, and what principles of judicial ethics may be implicated in the misuse of networks.
