Abstract

This article aims to recover the historical meaning of severance compensation items derived from dismissal without cause, identifying the values that were promoted as determinants forits legislative consecration. The intention is to provide historical legal sensitivity in order to face the question about whether It is convenient to fight for a modification or an institute cancellation. To do this, a historical rules contextualization that established and consolidated the severance pay in the period between 1932 and 1974 will be carried out, to then analyze the legislator voices who starred in the parliamentary debates of said laws
